Problem :

Managing shared expenses within families or groups often lacks transparency, simplicity, and collaboration. Traditional apps focus on individual transactions, leaving users struggling to track contributions, spending limits, and shared financial goals.

Solution :

A Shared Wallet feature within a redesigned PhonePe app enables transparent, collaborative, and seamless expense management for families and groups. Users can track contributions, set spending limits, and manage shared financial goals effortlessly, ensuring accountability and financial harmony.

Challenge :

Developing a platform that integrates bill splitting, shared wallets, and spending analytics while maintaining high usability. The app needed to offer seamless performance, ensure data security, and differentiate itself in a competitive market.

Target Users
Families, roommates, and small groups managing shared expenses.
Key Stats
85% of respondents found managing shared finances stressful.
72% preferred a digital tool over manual tracking.
60% expressed frustration over a lack of transparency in existing apps.

Summary :

This project focuses on redesigning the PhonePe app with a user-centered approach to improve overall usability and introduce a new Share Wallet feature.
